We would like to provide an update to our clients, supporters and wider community following the recent cyber security incident involving Beacon CRM, a third-party system used by Sparks Project CIO.
Beacon has confirmed that, following an investigation by external cyber security specialists, its latest assessment is that a copy of its customer database was made and likely downloaded by an unauthorised third party.
Although Beacon has been unable to determine exactly which information was accessed, it has advised organisations using its system to treat the information they hold within Beacon as potentially affected.
Sparks has reviewed the information held within our Beacon account and, as a precaution, is treating this information as potentially affected.

Importantly, Sparks Project CIO does not store bank account or payment card details within Beacon.
